All LCK media activity has been shut down due to South Korea’s COVID-19 Red Alert
There is a very real possibility that LCK games will need to be postponed as well.
Riot has announced that it has canceled all media activity for League of Legends Champions Korea (LCK) indefinitely due to the country moving to Red Alert following an outbreak of the COVID-19 coronavirus.
[Official] LCK Media Room is closed indefinitely. This means no press activities.Riot Korea will consider re-opening the media room once the National Threat Alert Level – currently at the highest – drops down.
For the foreseeable future, there will be no media interviews with any of the teams or players.
South Korea recently moved up to second on the worldwide list of affected countries, with 833 confirmed cases and eight deaths so far.
With the government raising the alert level to Red, there is also the looming possibility that LCK matches themselves might also be postponed, similar to what has happened with theOverwatch League’s South Korea homestands.
