Full list of teams that have qualified for LEC Summer 2022 playoffs
The top four teams in the group stage will be seeded in the upper bracket of the playoffs, while the 5th-placed team will play against the 6th-placed team in the lower bracket.
The playoffs will follow a double-elimination format where all matches are played in best-of-fives.
Since theEuropean league was granted four Worlds 2022 slotsthis year, the top four teams on this stage will automatically qualify for this year’s World Championship which will be held from September to November in the USA.
G2 Esports’ qualification was a special case. LEC Summer playoffs seeding takes into account championship points accumulated by the team during LEC Spring. G2 Esports acquired 90 championship points duringthe LEC Spring 2022 playoffs, which is why they secured first seed during the Summer playoffs in addition to their 12-6 standing.
Because of this, they were automatically seeded in the Upper Bracket Semifinals. This means that even if they lose all their best-of-fives, they are assured of a minimum fourth place finish and a ticket to Worlds 2022.
