Looking at the games played at theMobile Legends: Bang Bang Southeast Asia Cup 2021(MSC 2021), we’ve seen how strong mage heroes are in this patch, with Harith andLunoxleading the most picked heroes category.
Victims of OP mage heroes, don’t fret. With the release of the newest Mobile Legends: Bang Bang patch 1.5.88 today, a new item has been introduced that will give other roles a fighting chance against mages: Radiant Armor.

What makes Radiant Armor a must-buy against mage-heavy lineups?
Upon closer inspection, Radiant Armor has the second most magic resistance next to Athena’s Shield.
However, what makes this item such a huge threat is that the passive increases the user’s magic damage reduction upon taking damage.
That means every tic of magic damage received will increase the user’s magic defense by three to ten, depending on what level you are. That adds up to 125 magic resistance at max level, the highest in the game.
This comes as a huge nerf against DPS mage heroes such asChang’eandYve, who rely on combos that deal continuous magic damage.
It’s also effective against burst mages like Lunox and Harith, for it also gives a substantial HP boost.
