BOOM Esports’ Dota 2 team goes international with Yopaj and Skem

They’ve gone global.

BOOM Esports has been busy getting theirroster readyfor the next DPC season.

The team recently added Erin Jasper “Yopaj” Ferrer and Rolen Andrei Gabriel “skem” Ong to their Dota 2 squad.

Yopaj and skem join BOOM Esports

The pair were with OB.Neon for the last one year, and look to continue their partnership with a new team. Their match against Team Secret during theONE Esports Singapore Major against Team Secretwas one of the highlight matches of the tournament.

BOOM Esports goes international for the first time with Skem and Yopaj

Since it was established in 2017, the organization has focused on establishing a team with local Indonesian players. This allowed the organization to grow local talent and appeal to local fans.

With the addition of skem and Yopaj from the Philippines, it’s the first time BOOM Esports is expanding beyond their shores.

Dota 2, OB.Neon, Yopaj farewell

Previously, OB.Neon was also a team that focused on recruiting local Filipino talent until Ravdan “Hustla”Narmandakh from Mongolia joined in August 2021.

BOOM Esports still has slots to fill

There are still two positions in the Dota 2 roster left to fill. Skem’s role in the team hasn’t been announced yet either. While he played carry previously, Skem has also shown interest in playing support.
