Call of Duty: Warzone hits 15M players in 3 days
It’s the most successful battle royale launch ever, beating both Apex Legends and Fortnite.
Activision’s new free-to-play battle royale mode, Call of Duty: Warzone, launched last week and amassed six million players on its first day.
Amazingly, the game surpassed that figure two days later, achieving over 15 million players on day 3.

For comparison, EA’s Apex Legends had about 10 million users after three days, and Epic Games’ Fortnite took more than two weeks to hit 10 million.
Warzone is a free spinoff of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and debuted on March 11 with two modes: Battle Royale and Plunder. About 150 players battle it out on either Battle Royale or Plunder in the city of Verdansk.
