The Capcom Pro Tour 2021 is finally underway with its firstonline regional premier set in Japan. 511 competitors, which include the best players of the country, will be fighting for a spot in Capcom Cup VIII.
The Japan 1 online qualifier has eight pools, and will follow a double-elimination format with a winners’ and losers’ bracket. Two players from each pool will advance to the Top 16. Day 1 of the online qualifier will conclude after only eight players remain in the competition.

The final day of the online qualifier will feature a double-elimination best-of-five game format, with one winner being crowned the champion of the first online regional premiere.
