Philippine organizationLiyab Esportshas announced their Wild Rift new roster for 2022.
The Wild Rift lineup will comprise formerLeague of Legendsprofessionals like Edrian “DoeDoii” Brancia and Ren “Kanji” Motomitsu, while Gerald “Tgee” Gelacio will be the team’s head coach.
Four ex-League of Legends players make the switch to Liyab Esports’ Wild Rift roster for 2022
Four of the players last played together in the League of Legends Pacific Championship Series (PCS) in 2021, where they finished 8th in the Summer Split with a 4-14 record.
The new additions include mid laner Gabriel “Sho” Sebastian Umali and Klyde Perfection “Klyde” Abello from Fennel University and Oasis Gaming.
Joining Tgee as the assistant coach will be Reggie Dominik “Cheesto” Paat, who’s been with the team since last year.
“As we move forward into 2022, we are confident that we have made the right moves to take Liyab Esports to the next level,” said Ralph Aligada, Liyab Esport’s Head of Globe Games and Esports. “Our work together represents a deeper commitment to nurture and develop the local gaming scene.”
Liyab will begin competing at the PPGL Wild Rift Champion SEA: Philippines next month.
