This quest becomes available immediately after you finish The Final Shape’s story campaign and discoverthe “Ergo Sum” exotic quest.
First, travel to Savathun’s Throne World and complete “The Lightblade” Strike mission. Afterwards, return to the Witch’s Echo to acquire “The Cunning” quest.
Finish “The Cunning” prerequisite quest by travelling to the Caldera and scanning one of the malformed statues in the Court of Salvation. Doing so gives you the “Lost Ghost Telemetry” item and starts “The Illusion” quest.
The Final Shape’s massive content drop introduced several unique exotics, a new Destiny 2 class, and a full look into the Traveler’s Pale Heart.
