Before we dive into the playoffs, there’s a lengthy group stage to be played between the 18 teams at the event. Here’s what you need to know about the Lima Major group stage, and what’s at stake for the players.
Lima Major group stage format
The Lima Major’s group stage will see the teams split into two different groups of nine. Each team will play a best-of-two round-robin for a total of 16 games, which determines their final standings.
The top four teams in each group are seeded to the upper bracket of the playoffs. The next two teams will start their main event run in the lower bracket. The last three teams in each group will be eliminated outright.
