Dota Summit 11 will be the first event of the 2019-2020 DPC Season

The meme tournament is back!

Dota Summit 11 will be the first official Valve event for the 2019-2020 Dota Pro Circuit season. The event is set to take place on November 7-10, and will be held in Los Angeles, California.

Teams will have to go through thenew qualifier format Valve announced a week ago. The Major/Minor qualifiers are set to take place on October 5 to 10.

Dota Summit 11 will be the first Minor of the season and will be the first time a live studio audience will be present for a Beyond the Summit event.

It will also be the first Minor event using Valve’s new DPC points and prize pool distribution.

The event will still have a US$300,000 prize pool but with a more even distribution. The Minor also has an increased 660 DPC point pool with 140 points awarded to the winner, along with a spot at the first 2019-2020 DPC Major.

In the previous DPC season,Ninjas In Pyjamas dominated Valve’s Minor events which helped them qualify for TI9. It’s highly likely that all teams who fail to qualify for Major events will be aiming for a similar result.
