EG Danny is the first starter to reach Challenger on Korean ladder with 668 LP

The race is on to reach the top.

Evil Geniuses are on a roll, before they even play their first match at theMid-Season Invitational (MSI 2022).

Out of the new accounts allocated to participating teams outside the Asian region, thefirst three players to hit Grandmasterin early May were all from EG — bot laner Kyle “Danny” Sakamaki, mid laner Joseph Joon “jojopyun” Pyun, and substitute bot laner Muhammed Hasan “Kaori” Şentürk.

While Kaori has since taken the lead with 722 LP, Danny is the first among starters to reach the highest-ranked tier in solo queue, with 668 LP at the time of writing.

With a whopping 75% win rate out of 82 games played, it’s no wonder the starting AD carry rose up the ranks so quickly. Even though Kaori has a higher LP on account of his having played more games, his win rate is lower at 60%.

Danny’s most-played champion continues to beZeri, whom he got a pentakill withduring the LCS Spring 2022 regular season, followed by Samira and Senna.

Two days ago, he even tried out Seraphine bot lane, and finished with a perfect 9/0/5 KDA victory.

The remaining Evil Geniuses players are also continuing to dominate the ladder, with the third and fourth spots being occupied by jungler Kacper “Inspired” Słoma and star rookie mid laner jojopyn.

Drawing near to Challenger as well is G2 mid laner Rasmus “caPs” Borregaard Winther, who is currently in Grandmaster just below jojopyun with 360 LP.

EG top laner Jeong “Impact” Eon-young is currently in Masters with 188 LP.
