Entries are now open for Valve’s annual Dota 2 short film contest
You could be the next Steven Spielberg of Dota 2 films.
Aspiring Dota 2 filmmakers can now submit their short films to Valve, with the winner getting a hefty US$25,000 prize.
To qualify for the contest, they should submit a short film based onDota 2of up to 90 seconds in length. Submitted films can come in the form of animation or live-action, or even a combination of both, as long as the video resolution is at least 1080p. You can read the full list of guidelineshere.
Valve will be accepting entries until August 7, at 4 a.m. PDT (7 p.m. GMT+8).
Ten finalists will be selected by Valve. The top three films will then be chosen by the Dota 2 community through a vote on the Steam Workshop.
The winners will be announced atThe International 2019in August, and besides the first place prize, second place will take home US$10,000 while third gets US$5,000. The rest of the top ten will each receive US$500.
