ESPN will host Apex Legends tournaments at the ESPYs and X Games

These will be the most high profile events for Apex Legends to date.

ESPN is putting Apex Legends at center stage with two Apex tournaments scheduled to headline EXP, its new series of esports competitions, this summer.

The announcement comes at a great time for Apex, which, afteran incredible launch, hasfallen off in the last two months.

The first EXP tournament will be the Pro-Am Apex Legends competition at the 2019 ESPY award show in Los Angeles on July 11. The Pro-Am will feature athletes, celebrities, and influencers. Fans will also have the opportunity to win a spot on one of the teams by donating to an ESPN charity drive on eBay that begins on June 12.

The second tournament will be the EXP Invitational, which will host the world’s best Apex Legends players during the X Games at Minneapolis on August 1.

Both competitions will be streamed online, and will also be broadcast on ABC and ESPN.
