Former RSG PH jungler Demonkite goes to Malaysia in return to pro play
The “Smiling Demon” is back!
Jonard Cedrix “Demonkite” Carantohas returned to theMobile Legends: Bang Bangprofessional scene, taking his talents from RSG Philippines to sister team RSG Malaysia for the upcomingMPL MY Season 12.
“He once rocked the MLBB scene in MPL PH, and (now) it’s time for him to terrorize in MPL MY,” theMalaysian squad wrote in a Facebook post.
The 20-year-old player will still serve as a jungler, and will play alongside fellow Filipino Dale “Stowm” Vidal, who last suited up for Smart Omega as a mid laner.
Demonkite is the newest member of RSG Malaysia for MPL MY Season 12
Demonkitewas one of the original members of RSG Philippines that joined as a franchise team in MPL Philippines Season 8.
He won the Best Rookie award before leading the Raiders to theSeason 9andMobile Legends Southeast Asia Cup (MSC) 2022championship titles.
However, they fell short of securing a spot in the M4 World Championship after finishing third in MPL PH Season 10, where they lost to eventual world championECHOin the lower bracket final.
Demonkitedecided to skip the following season, citing personal reasons.
In his absence, RSG PH leaned on veteran John Paul “H2wo” Salonga and rising starJohn “1rrad” Abarquez, ending up third once again in Season 11 and missing out on a chance to defend their throne in MSC 2023.
Demonkite saw action for RSG PH in the ESL Snapdragon Pro Series Season 3 SEA where they topped their group, but got swept twice early in the playoffs to land at tied-fifth.
He will aim to bounce back from that shaky preseason, as he leads RSG Malaysia’s mission to return to the top after a disappointing 7th-8th place finish in the previous MPL MY season.
