Fortnite announces Party Royale in-game concert to celebrate surpassing 350M players

A lot of people play Fortnite.

Epic Games has announced that Fortnite: Battle Royale now has over 350 million registered players, a milestone that will be celebrated with another in-game concert called Party Royale.

For comparison, Fortnite had around 250 million registered players in March 2019. In astatementon the official Fortnite Twitter account, Epic added that its massive player base spent over 3.2 billion hours in the game last month.

April was notably an eventful month for Fortnite, as the game partnered with American rapper Travis Scott to hold its biggest-in game concert tour ever, called ‘Astronomical.’ The concert tour was witnessed by 27.7 million unique players participating live 45.8 million times across five events.

The first Astronomical concert also generated 12.3 million concurrent players, which broke the game’s all-time record. The event also shattered an earlier record posted byFortnite’s first in-game concert with Marshmellow back in 2019, which generated atotal of 10 million viewers.

To celebrate its 350 million player milestone,Fortnite will be premiering another in-game concert, called Party Royale, on May 8with a rebroadcast on May 9. The event will feature electronic musicians Dillon Francis, Steve Aoki, and deadmau5.

Almost three years since its release back in July 2017, Fortnite remains one of the most popular games in the world, mostly due to a constant stream of updates and events to keep its massive player base coming back for more.
