G2’s Perkz and Caps will once again swap roles for LEC Summer Split
G2 Esports is back with its 2019 Worlds line-up.
G2 Esports‘ unbeatable pair of Luka “Perkz” Perković and Rasmus “Caps” Winther will once again swap roles, with Perkz back in the bot lane and Caps back in the mid lane.
Perkz earlier hinted about the swap when he played as ADC during his streams.

Despite bagging theLEC 2020 Spring Championship title,it seems like G2 Esports’ decision to swap the two prior to the Spring Split did not work out for the best.
“It can go both ways. It either doesn’t work at all, in which case that’s great, we have the summer split and they’ll re-swap then,” said G2 Founding CEO Carlos “ocelote” Rodríguez Santiago last January in aninterview with ESPN.
Ocelote’s ultimate goal is to give G2 the upper hand to be flexible with their roles and to later on confuse their opponents.
“Then we have a mental edge and now the real s— starts. Or then it works and whatever we pick, no one will know where it’s going. That’s the best case scenario.”
Playing as a professional bot laner for the first time, Caps did have somehitsandmissesduring the nine-week Spring regular season. Caps’ ADC will always be remembered for his great plays towards the end of the Split.
G2 Esports now returns to its successful 2019League of LegendsWorld Championship (Worlds) roster, which some fans and analysts believe is the best step to move forward.
This is the best take
For others, this change doesn’t really matter.
