G2 Wunder makes his great escape using a misplay from Fnatic
He wandered around too much.
In an odd twist of events, G2 Esports (G2) toplanerMartin “Wunder” Hansen’s Irelia managed to survive during an encounter with two of Fnatic’s (FNC) champions during theLeague of Legends European Championship(LEC)Summer SplitFinals 2019.
G2 Wunder’s Irelia was wandering around FNC’s top-sidejungle,and bumped into FNC Martin “Rekkles” Larsson’s Tristana and FNC Zdravets “Hylissang” Iliev Galabov’s Shen.
The two FNC members immediately went to work on G2’s lost sheep. However, G2 Wunder was able to escape the claws of death because of FNC Rekkles’ miscalculation — his Tristana Rocket Jump-ed in the wrong direction and Wunder’s quick reaction using Flash made it possible for him to escape with a pixel of life left.
G2 Esports emerged victorious in this best-of-five series 3-2 and was hailed as the LEC 2019 Summer Split champions.
