The new roster change also means that Gen.G has parted ways with Loic “effys” Sauvageau, who was part of the team from back when Valorant was still in its beta phase.

As of today I will not be part of the@GenGVALORANT starting lineup. My friends and I had a great run and that’s all I want to take away from this, it was frustrating at times but it was mostly just a lot of fun.I wish@Shawn12590and the rest of the boys the best of luck !

Shawn12590 primarily plays Sova. He also mains Breach, who is known for being a solo defensive anchor in spike-sites — the same role that effys played for Gen.G.

Shawn12590 will be playing the duelist role according to Gen.G’s announcement, however. This suggests that Gen.G might run a triple duelist composition with Anthony “gMd” Guimond and Danny “HUYNH” Huynh.

With the addition of Shawn12590, Gen.G is all set to compete in the upcomingFirst Strike competitions in North America.
