It was announced in aseries of tweetsby the game’s developer, Sucker Punch Productions that a PlayStation Network (PSN) account is required for players to access the Legends multiplayer mode in Ghost of Tsushima.
However, a PSN account won’t be required to play the single-player mode of the game.
Ghost of Tsushima’s multiplayer mode will include cross-platform play between Windows PC, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 5 users. Additionally, linking one’s PSN account allows players to use the PlayStation overlay which gives users access their PlayStation profile, Friends List, Trophies, and other features.
