Godlike wins the PUBG Mobile Club Open 2020 India Spring Split
Godlike, along with the other top nine teams in the tournament, have now qualified for the PUBG Mobile World League.
Indian PUBG Mobile team, Godlike, has won the PUBG Mobile Club Open 2020 (PMCO 2020) Spring Split India Regional Finals.
The tournamenttook place last weekend, and is part of Tencent’s yearlong esports tournaments with aprize pool in excess of US$5 million.
The tournament had 16 teams playing 12 matches. Points were awarded for kills and final placement. Despite the name, Godlike’s success was not guaranteed.
The team finished fourth on day one of the two-day event, rallying hard on the final day with some stellar individual play by in-game leader Carry to see it through.
The winning roster consisted of Gopal “CarryBTC” Sarda, Chisin “Xz1st” Raingaim, Shekhar “SmxkieOP” Patil, Arshpreet “GiLL” Singh, and Chetan “Kronten” Chandgude.
The runner-up spot was secured by Orange Rock, an esports team backed by video game outsourcing giant PTW. Compared to Godlike, Orange Rock had more consistent performances, finishing second on both days and bagging two consecutive chicken dinners on the final day.
PMCO 2020 India Spring Split overall standings
Of the 16 teams that took part in the PMCO 2020 India Spring Split, nine will move on to the PUBG Mobile World League. They will be joined by the top six teams in South Asia along with five direct entrants. These are:
