Herman Miller partners up with Complexity Gaming
The furniture company will soon have gaming chairs.
Furniture design company Herman Miller is now diving into the world of esports.
Known for its classic Eames Lounge chair, Herman Miller has signed a partnership with American esports team Complexity Gaming to be the official seating partner while also setting up a lab inComplexity’s headquarters in Texas.
In their partnership announcement, both organizations said they wanted to find better solutions for “ergonomic equipment and design products for gamers”.
Although it may seem to point to chairs as of now, they may also take the chance to innovate tables and other furniture for gaming. As for their objective with such products, they’re currently “focusing on injury-prevention and best gaming practices”.
Although the partnership is still in its beginning stages, Herman Miller will be entering as the first major furniture company making a transition to the esports industry. With the likes of Red Bull and Nike, Herman Miller’s partnership with Complexity is yet another indication of the potential of the esports industry.
