The inaugural 2024 Honor of Kings Invitational S1 marks a significant milestone for Level Infinite as they expand their esports footprint beyond Asia.
The international tournament brings together the best teams from Early Release Honor of Kings regions for an exciting showdown.
On February 27, publisher Level Infinite revealed full details of the HoK Invitational tournament, which starts June 20, 2025 in Istanbul, Turkey.
Key matchups at the event include Turkey’s FUT KAOS, Besiktas Esports, and IW WRX clashing with Brazil’s Vivo Keyd Stars and other formidable contenders. These elite teams vie for supremacy and a share of the impressive US$300k prize pool.
What is Honor of Kings?
Honor of Kings is a multiplayer online battle arena developed by TiMi Studio Group and published by Tencent Games for the iOS and Android mobile platforms.
It was released in 2015 and has become one of mainland China’s most relevant MOBA games.
An international adaptation, titled Arena of Valor, was released in October 2020, utilizing the same game engine and UI design but with greatly altered heroes to accommodate the Western market.
The game boasts a massive player base that has grown steadily since its release. In June 2022, Level Infinite, the publisher of Arena of Valor, announced that Honor of Kings would be released globally by the end of 2022.
