As a shotgun, the weapon is touted as being exceptionally good in close-quarters combat. For many, they may choose to have it alongside a rifle to balance out the potential of both.
How to get the MX Guardian shotgun
If you’re looking to try it out for yourself, you’ll need to unlock the MX Guardian shotgun via the new Battle Pass sector that comes alongside the Season 4 Reloaded update.
Within the new sector is a secret “Classified” section within D9. In order to unlock the new shotgun, you’ll need to gain access to this level and complete it.

Once you’ve knocked that out, you’ll now be able to equip the MX Guardian shotgun.
If you’re wondering what else came with the Season 4 Reloaded update, one of the big ones is theTemp V field upgrade. Yes, it’s superpowers. Don’t worry, it won’t be in ranked play and if you’re only an MW2 multiplayer person, you won’t see it at all.
