Is Blade of Despair forIxiaviable?
If you have been playing Ixia inMobile Legends: Bang Bangfor a while now, there’s a good chance that you have been building her with attack speed items.
Attack speed items such as Corrosion Scythe and Demon Hunter Sword help her proc her passive, Siphon Starlium, faster, which is why these items are included in pre-made item builds.
However, BTK pro player Ian “FwydChickn” Hohl discovered that going for attack speed items first isn’t always a good idea.
Why Blade of Despair for Ixia should be your top priority in Mobile Legends
Following the launch of Ixia, FwydChickn released a video sharing his insights about playing the marksman hero.
He emphasized the strength of Arclight Outlaw in the early game due to her Siphon Starlium passive. However, he stated that building Blade of Despair as your first item is essential.
“Her healing and her passive scale very heavily on pure damage and lifesteal. So my thought process is to just go big damage like Blade of Despair because her passive is her main damage source,” he said.
Blade of Despair boasts the highest physical damage output among all items in the game, providing 160 physical attack damage and 5% movement speed.
Its unique passive is also a game-changer, granting an additional 25% physical attack for two seconds against enemies below 50% health.
Moreover, FwydChickn expressed his disinterest in attack speed items as they fail to significantly boost Ixia’s damage output despite the frequent activation of Siphon Starlium.
There is indeed validity to his statement, as Siphon Starlium has a 150% physical attack scaling, making it highly impactful when combined with physical attack damage items such as Blade of Despair.
