One of Dota 2’s most famous faces is now going live on Kick.

Artour “Arteezy” Babaev is officially a Kick streamer, thelivestreaming platform announced this morning.The 27-year-old, signed to North American organization Shopify Rebellion,will henceforth be streaming on Kick— though there’s no guarantee that he still wouldn’t go live on Twitch.

Kick has repeatedly signalled their intent to bring over the best streamers to its platform by enticing them with a host of benefits, includinghigh value contractsandnon-exclusive agreements.

Though his main job now is competing professionally, the player first made his name as a streamer — and still goes live sporadically.

Arteezy has remained one of the most popular Dota 2 streamers, even with an irregular schedule. The player regularly draws averages of 15,000 viewers when he goes online on Twitch, peaking upwards of 20,000 in the past year,according to data from Sully Gnome.

This follows Kick’s trend of high-profile signings across multiple genres, which includesNicholas “Nickmercs” Kolcheff,Félix “xQc” Lengyel, andHikaru “GMHikaru” Nakamura, in efforts to compete with streaming juggernaut Twitch.
