Week 1 results

Match of the week: Team SoloMid vs Team Liquid

Despite facing TSM’s glory-days line-up, Team Liquid managed to thwart Doublelift and his team through some amazing teamwork and map dominance.

Team Liquid’s play style looked completely different since their days with Doublelift. With Tactical as a reserved back-line player, Broxah took charge and prioritized lane ganks.

During team fights, the team instinctively grouped up to protect their carries Nicolaj “Jensen” Jensen and Tactical, creating space for quickfire counters.

Though Tactical quietly farmed throughout the early game, the young ADC popped off at the end with 7 kills, 6 assists and a 700 gold bounty.

Tactical currently ranks asone of the highest damage-dealersin the LCS alongside EG Daniele “Jiizuke” Di Mauro and FLY Tristan “PowerOfEvil’ Schrage, proving that a well coordinated team is the key to success.

Player of the week: Bae “Bang” Jun-sik

Bae “Bang” Jun-sik has stepped up to the plate for the Summer Split, and has been knocking down champions left and right in the bot lane.

Despite getting ganked by Raymond “Wiggily” Griffin, Bang and Tristan “Zeyzal” Stidham on Aphelios and Lulu launched forward for a double-kill. With some help from Jiizuke, the trio dove deep to secure one more kill on Andy “Smoothie” Ta, giving Bang a well-deserved triple.
