LEC Spring Week 3 Recap: Can anyone stop G2 Esports?

G2 Esports remain on top of the LEC Spring leaderboard after three weeks of competition.

G2 Esports continue to dominate the League of Legends European Championship (LEC) Spring Split with another undefeated week, putting them at 6-0.

Day 2

Match of the week: G2 Esports vs Fnatic

This clash between top-ranked G2 Esports and second-place Fnatic ended week 3 with a bang.

Fnatic’s Martin “Rekkles” Larsson tried his best on Aphelios, but it wasn’t enough to overcome G2’s tremendous team synergy.

Martin “Wunder” Hansen’s Aaatrox and Rasmus “Caps” Winther’s Senna were standouts, coordinating well for big play after big play.

G2 ended the game after 32 minutes, with a 25-9 kill score.

Player of the week: Iván “Razork” Martín Díaz

Misfits Gaming’s Razork had a fantastic week, and was the MVP in his team’s wins against both Schalke ’04 and Origen. Against Schalke, Razork’s LeeSin finished with a perfect 6 – 0 – 6 KDA, and the next day, he impressed again in his team’s clash against Origen with a 5 – 2 – 5 KDA on Gragas.

His Gragas performance was particularly noteworthy, with his quick response and excellent decision-making saving his teammates over and over again.

Standings

At the end of week 3, G2 Esports still holds the crown with a flawless 6-0 standing.

Following the Worlds 2019 finalists are teams Fnatic, Misfits Gaming, Origen, and MAD lions with a 4-2 standing.

With an equal three wins and three losses for Week 3, Excel Esports and Rogue are tied 3-3.

SK Gaming ended the third week with a 2-4 standing.

Matching G2’s consistency in opposite standings are teams Schalke 04 and Team Vitality with no wins to date and a 0-6 standing.
