Less becomes second LOUD Valorant player to test positive for COVID-19
LOUD will not play on stage.
Riot Gamesannouncedthat a second LOUD Valorant player tested positive for COVID-19 on April 10, just a day afterErick “aspas” Santos’ positive result on April 9.
The player in question is Felipe “Less” de Loyola,according to the Brazilian organization. He is up to date on his vaccinations and is currently isolated and asymptomatic.
Less produced a positive result during mandatory testing for players and staff atMasters Reykjavik 2022. According to Riot’s policy, any player who tests positive can still compete on a LAN network built in the quarantine facilities, should they feel well enough to play.
Two LOUD Valorant players are now COVID-19 positive
As Brazil’s top seed, LOUD received a direct playoffs spot. Bypassing the group stage, they are set to play their first match againstTeam Liquidon April 15.
Unfortunately, both Less and aspas will not be able to play on stage. Per Riot’s policy, they will play from an isolated room, while their teammates and opponents compete from nearby rooms.
LOUD will be one of the most closely-watched teams in the tournament. TheBrazilian superteamwent undefeated throughout VCT Brazil Stage 1 Challengers and are widely regarded as one of the mostdangerous dark horsesin Iceland.
