EVO 2019 champ Leonardo “MKLeo” Lopez is not present, but his absence gives American players like Ezra “Samsora” Morris and Samuel “Dabuz” Buzby a chance to solidify their ranking at the beginning of the 2020 season.

PGRU tournament tiers are based on how many top-ranking players from the previous season ranking go to the event. Although LMBM only has 734 entrants to make the tournament A-tier, fifteen of the top 50 SSBU players are attending this New York event, qualifying it as an S-tier tournament.

As long as none of the top players back out, LMBM will count as S-tier in the PGRU rankings.

All events in PGRU Season 3 (Spring 2020) receive a TTS score based on the soon-to-be-released Fall 2019 PGR.We can’t reveal the TTS until the rankings are released, but we can announce that#LetsMakeBigMovesis currently projected to be the first S Tier tournament of Season 3!pic.twitter.com/nFplH3hKza

Although the SSBU world tournament circuit isn’t as fleshed out as other fighting games like Tekken 7 and Street Fighter V, events like LMBM show a die-hard dedication among players and organizers within the ever-growing community.

Let’s Make Big Moves is ongoing until January 6. You can watch the official streamhere.
