Logic is quitting rap to become a Twitch video game streamer

Twitch has signed an exclusive deal with the former rapper.

American rapper Logic has officially announced his retirement from rap to pursue a new career as a video game streamer onTwitch.

The 30-year old rapper has signed a seven-figure deal with Twitch that will see Logic stream games and the occasional music session.

Through his future gaming streams, Logic wants to help people to ease up and relax from their stressful environment.

“I’m not going to be on Twitch, having political debates,” said Logic. “I’m going to be on Twitch, helping people after they’ve had a day of protesting or political debates, unwind and laugh and smile.”

Logic will be streaming onhis channelon July 22 at 8 a.m. GMT+8 (July 21 at 5 p.m. PT). Aside from seeing Logic play games, viewers will get to hear more about his last EP titled “No Pressure.”

Logic has produced some great songs in the past, but he was most popular for his collaboration with Alessia Cara and Khalid titled “1-800-273-8255” where he talked about mental health.
