Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games Tokyo 2020 will include retro 2D sports events

Mario & Sonic are about to kick it old school.

Nintendo and Sega’s upcoming Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games Tokyo 2020 sports-themed party game is almost here. And, along with it’spreviously announced Dream Events, the game will also include 10 nostalgic 2D events.

Here are the retro 2D events included with the game:

Players will be able to choose from their favorite characters including Mario, Luigi, Sonic, Tails, Yoshi, and many more. In total, the game has more than 30 sports-themed mini-games, including new events for Tokyo 2020. The trailer also mentioned a brand new story mode for the game.

The game is set to be released exclusively on the Nintendo Switch in the Asian region on November 1, in North America on November 5, and in Europe, on November 8.
