Marvel Duel brings your favorite comics heroes to the auto battler arena

The game officially launches on July 31.

While it may look like a card game like Riot Games’sLegends of Runeterraor Blizzard Entertainment’sHearthstone, upcoming mobile game Marvel Duel is actually an auto battler.

Marvel Duel is developed by NetEase, which also created the Marvel-themed MOBA Marvel Super War. It makes use of about 150 superheroes and villains from theMarvel Comics universe, including fan-favorites like Iron Man and Thanos.

Die-hard fans will also be delighted to know that all types of Iron Man’s armor (like Prime and Extremis) are included in the game, as well as the various Spider-Men hailing from different universes.

All these characters come in card form in the game, but the strategy and positioning that players must consider is what makes Marvel Duel lean closer to the auto chess category, according to an early take byPocket Gamer.
