MOUZ enters Valorant with former Team Liquid player Kryptix
A new player is on the scene.
German esports organization MOUZ (formerly mousesports) is throwing its hat into theValorantring. It has signed European team MMix, starring formerTeam Liquid playerJames “Kryptix” Affleckand Heretics duelist Felix “al0rante” Brandl.
MOUZ is known for its long history and success inCounter-Strike, so the organization’s move into Valorant feels like a natural fit. Rumors that MOUZ would sign aValorant rosterbegan in October last year, after itsrebranding videoshowed a PC desktop background with its new logo and seven games, one of which was Riot Game’s first-person shooter.
MOUZ signs European team MMix
MMix previously qualified for the Valorant Regional Leagues regular season without dropping a series. The new roster will debut under the MOUZ banner in the VRL 2022 DACH: Evolution Stage 1, which starts February 15.
The VRL was created to help develop regional Valorant teams, providing a competitive platform for upcoming talent to sharpen their skills. The winner of the tournament will move on to the VCT Promotion Tournament, where teams will compete for a spot atVCT EMEAStage 2.
Kryptix brings to the team considerable experience at thehighest level of competitive Valorant, with wins at EMEA Challengers and an appearance atStage 2 Masters Reykjavik.
As for al0rante, he’s made a reputation for himself as a consistent duelist and initiator on Team Heretics, mainly onReyna,Raze, andKAY/O. His teammate Amine “Amilwa” Saidi also comes from Heretics, but he only had a short stint with the organization duringVCT EMEA Stage 3: Challengers 2.
