MPL Invitational Qualifiers Day 1: Onic Esports rules over Group A
The Indonesian team has already secured a spot in the Invitational’s playoffs.
The Mobile Legends Professional League Invitational: 4 Nation Cup has finished its first day of qualifier action, featuring some top-tier teams from Malaysia and Indonesia. With sweeps over Todak and Team SMG, Indonesia’s Onic Esports came out as the current leader of Group A.
Results
Onic started the day with an astonishing series against Todak, completely locking out their opponent in the late-game phase. Onic’s hard-carry player CW was a gunslinging god in the final game, racking up 12 kills and six assists with Granger.
CW carried his momentum into the series against Team SMG, closing out the day with another one of his favorite heroes, Ling.
With the rest of Onic working around the top-tier assassin, CW sealed the deal with some amazing one-shot kills to SMG’s back-line. With no one left to retaliate on damage, Onic Esports stormed through the botlane and claimed the series win.
If Onic continues their win streak into the second set of qualifier games, the Indonesian team will surely secure a spot on the 4 Nation Cup Playoffs bracket.
