NBA 2K League will hold an online 3v3 tournament in place of postponed season tipoff
Play against the pros for the lion’s share of the US$25,000 prize pool!
With the start of the NBA 2K League2020 season postponeddue to the COVID-19 pandemic, the league has announced a new tournament called the NBA 2KL Three for All Showdown.
Scheduled to begin on March 27, the 3v3 tournament is spreading the love of the game by opening it not only to pro players, but to the entire NBA 2K community.

“We hope that the first-ever NBA 2KL Three for All Showdown will provide NBA 2K League fans and the 2K community with an exciting and fun way to engage with our game and one another during these unprecedented times,” the League expressed in itsformal announcement.
“While we’re encouraged to practice social distancing, it’s important that we stay connected.”
The NBA 2KL Three for All Showdown will be split into two tournament stages.
The first will exclusively feature 32 fan-organized teams, which are scheduled to play on March 27-29, while the second stage will feature NBA 2K League players, top female 2K players, social media influencers, and the top-performing fan teams. Matches for the second stage are scheduled for March 31-April 3.
There will be separate brackets for teams using either Xbox or PS4 to participate in the tourney.
The tournament will mostly comprise best-of-three series, with all games played in NBA 2K20’s MyPark mode. All final round matchups will play in best-of-five series.
Up for grabs in the tournament is a US$25,000 prize pool, with US$5,000 and US$2,500 going to the top two non-NBA 2K League teams in each of the Xbox and PS4 brackets. Winning teams from each bracket during the fan-only first stage will also get US$500 each.
