SFV producer, Yoshinori Ono, announced the improvements on Twitter.
Street Fighter V producer Yoshinori Ono has posted on Twitter that the Street Fighter V: Champion Edition dev team will be “making adjustments to the game’s netcode soon.”
We hope everyone is excited for the release of Seth and Street Fighter V: Champion Edition this Friday! The team is working hard and wants to let#SFVplayers know that we’ll be making adjustments to the game’s netcode soon. We’ll share more details later. SFV players have been extremely vocal about the lack of improvement regarding the game’s netcode.
Back in early January,Reddit user Altimor shared a self-made PC modthat helped improve SFV’s netcode for online play but only for PC.
This opened up the netcode discussion with Ono and that’s when the producer realized it’s an issue that has to be fixed.
I’ve already grasped the situation.#SFVCE
The Street Fighter V: Champion Edition update is available today includesSeth’s much-awaited arrival to the roster.
Meanwhile, the new netcode update is set to happen sometime next week.
Thank you for the positive responses on our netcode announcement! Many players are asking about the timing for this, so I can share that the netcode update will happen next week after the server maintenance.
