Overwatch’s Role Queue is launching separately for Competitive and Quick Play modes
Role Queue for Quick Play will drop a little later than expected.
Blizzard hasconfirmedthe release schedule for the anticipated OverwatchRole Queuesystem, revealing a few changes and delays. Originally planned for simultaneous release on September 1 for Competitive and Quick Play modes, the new feature is now launching in stages instead.

Role Queue for Competitive Play will reach all Overwatch players on August 31 at 5 p.m. PST (September 1, 8 a.m. GMT+8).
For Quick Play, it will go live on September 3 at 11 a.m. PST (September 4, 2 a.m. GMT+8), September 3. The old free-for-all role selection format — Quick Play Classic (Arcade Card) — will also be available then.
Role Queue ensures that players complete a balanced team composition for every game, with two slots each for Tank, Damage, and Support heroes.
The game-changing system was previewed on the Overwatch Public Test Region for PC players in July and is currently running on live servers on a two-week Beta Season.
Blizzard Community Manager Molly Fender revealed in the forum post that the revised launch schedule is meant to ensure that the game’s support team has enough bandwidth to handle any issues raised by players when the new feature is rolled out.
