Pokémon GO has made US$2.65B in three years

That puts it in second place, behind only Clash of Clans

Pokémon GO developers, Niantic, have plenty to celebrate.

Last week, the hit mobile game reached its third birthday, and it also surpassed US$2.65 billion in total player spending over its first three years, putting it at second over that period, behind only Supercell’s Clash of Clans, according to a report fromSensorTower.

That translates to an average US$2.4 million being spent in the game each day since launch.

While Pokémon GO fell behind Clash of Clans, which topped the charts at an astonishing US$3.15 billion, it did make short work of Clash Royale and Candy Crush Saga.

According to the report, the majority of in-game spending for Pokémon GO came from the US with 35%. Following close behind was Japan at 29%.
