PSG.LGD part ways with XinQ and Faith_bian before DPC 2023 season
The DPC roster shuffle continues.
PSG.LGD officially announced that they have parted ways with Zhao “XinQ” Zixing and Zhang “Faith_bian” Ruida.
According to the Chinese esports organization’spost on Weibo, both players departed from the team after theircontracts expiredduring the DPC’s offseason period afterThe International 11.
WhileFaith_bianalready stated throughout his TI11 run that he was retiring after the season, XinQ’s choice not to re-sign with the team was a surprise.
The decision “follows the wishes of our player, respecting his need for personal development, and had gone through several internal discussions,” according to PSG.LGD’s written statement, as translated by ONE Esports.
PSG.LGD will field two new players in the next DPC season
XinQ andFaith_bianfirst joined the team when PSG.LGD announced its revamped roster in 2020. The two players were integral to the squad’s rise to success.
The team was one of the most consistent and best teams over the past three years, dominating teams both regionally and internationally. Amongst other accolades, PSG.LGD won theWePlay AniMajor, OGA Dota PIT Invitational, and theRiyadh Masters 2022, as well as placing second atThe International 10.
Together with Wang “Ame” Chunyu, Cheng “NothingToSay” Jin Xiang, and Zhang “y`” Yiping achieved an incredible 70.13 percent win rate in the 462 pro games they played together, according toDatDota.
PSG.LGD’s Dota 2 roster
The Chinese squad is now looking for an offlaner and position 4 support player that will compete with the team in the upcoming Winter Tour set to begin on January 9 next year.
