Razer’s fully-automated production line for facemasks is ready

The line only took 24 days to set up and become operational.

Gaming hardware company Razer has put its manufacturing expertise to good use in helping to fight the COVID-19 pandemic by creating the first fully-automated facemask production line in Singapore.

Razer CEO Tan Min-Liang posted about the development on his Instagram account, where he shared a photo of the production line.

Set up in just 24 days, the first fully automated face mask manufacturing line in Singapore is now operational. 5M masks per month (able to scale up if required) in an ISO 13485 certified controlled facility. Masks will be fully certified to domestic/international standards. #RazerForLife #madeinsingapore????????

The production line was set up and fully operational after just 24 days, and can create 5 million masks per month — more if required. The masks will be certified for both domestic and international standards to allow shipments of the product to other countries.

The face mask production line isn’t the only thing that Razer has been doing to fight the spread of the coronavirus. The gaming company recently sent a shipment of masks to the Philippines after an urgent request made by Alan Cayetano, Speaker of the House of Representatives of the Philippines.
