It’s a resurgence.
Singapore-based esports organization RSG is back in the Dota 2 scene, picking up ChubbyBoiz, a stack that qualified for the DPC SEA 2021/2022 Tour 2 Div II.
The roster signing wasannounced today, and came out of the blue for a team that almost didn’t make it to Div II. ChubbyBoiz was initially eliminated in the open qualifiers by Team Apex, before the result was overturneddue to an account-sharing scandalwhere Team Apex’s and Team Orca’s players were permanently banned.
This marks more than two years since anybody played under the RSG banner. The Singapore-based esports organization, formerly known as Resurgence, first entered Dota 2 in 2018 with an all-Singaporean roster, beforeeventually pulling out in December 2019.
