Skadoodle on being benched by T1: ‘I’ll be back’
For now, T1 will compete without Ska.
T1’s Valorant squad has announced that they will be playing without their primary Operator player and former CS:GO ELEAGUE Boston Major 2018 winner, Tyler “Skadoodle” Latham in the upcoming Pop Flash Ignition Series tournament set to begin on August 26.
Skadoodle himself broke the news, explaining that he is still in the process of expanding his agent pool and overall impact with the Operator. He added that he “will be back with T1 when the time is right.”

This change isn’t surprising, asT1 has been struggling since the start of Valorant’s Ignition Series competitions. The team had notably been on a downhill trajectory, despite having such a talented roster filled with decorated CS:GO stars, like Skadoodle and Braxton “brax” Pierce.
But with Skadoodle making the proper adjustment as the team’s primary Operator, this is a step in the right direction. Skadoodle previously mained Sage, while top teams like TSM and Cloud9 dominated North American tournaments with the powerful Jett-Operator meta.
Skadoodle has experience grinding in Valorant’s ranked matches with Jett, and he’s even played with his old 2015 Cloud9 roster which consists of Mike “Shroud Grzesiek, Sean Gares, Ryan “freakazoid” Abadir, and Jordan “n0thing” Gilbert.

T1 has yet to announce Skadoodle’s replacement in the upcoming Pop Flash Ignition Series tournament, however, coach Daniel “fRoD” Montaner filled Skadoodle’s spot during T1’s last tournament, and he might be asked to stand-in again.
