Suicide Squad ISEKAI sends Joker, Harley Quinn, to another world
Harley Quinn is now a waifu.
Where’s the best place to hide from the Batman? In another world, apparently.
Coming out of the left field, the Suicide Squad ISEKAI series was announced last night with a trailer drop. The series is being produced by WIT Studio (Spy x Family, Vinland Saga, Attack on Titan), and led by anisekaiall-star team.
The screenplay is written by Tappei Nagatsuki, the author of Re:Zero − Starting Life in Another World, and Eiji Umehara, author of visual novel ChäoS;Child who wrote scripts for Re:Zero’s anime adaptation. Another Re:Zero alumni, Kenichiro Suehiro (Goblin Slayer, Uncle from Another World), will be composing the score for the series.
Eri Osada (Jujutsu Kaisen, JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Diamond is Unbreakable) will direct the series.
Suicide Squad ISEKAI is bringing Gotham mayhem to a fantasy world
While the series is named for the Suicide Squad we know from DC Comics, we really only see three members in the trailer — The Joker, Harley Quinn, and Amanda Waller.
Much of the teaser focuses on the main duo of Joker and Harley, seemingly gallivanting around Gotham with modern technology, before they are transported into a fantasy world. We see brief glimpses of mythical races like orcs, centaurs, and even dragon-like creatures.
