Team Liquid(TL) hyped up the audience during their drafting phase against Team SoloMid (TSM) on the last day of theLCS Summer SplitGroup Stage.
Similar to building a class inTeamfight Tactics, the whole team agreed to lock in champions with icy abilities, namely Volibear on top lane for TL Jeong “Impact” Eon-yeong, Nunu & Willump on jungle for TL Jake”Xmithie” Puchero, Anivia on mid for TL Nicolaj “Jensen” Jensen, and a Freljord bot tandem involving Ashe for TL Yiliang “Doublelift” Peng and Braum for TLJo “CoreJJ” Yong-in.
Of course, just locking-in a themed pick isn’t everything, but Liquid appears to have successfully pulled it off. Just take a look at this insane top lane play by TL Impact against TSM Sergen “BrokenBlade” Çelik’s Sylas.
With this team composition, TL was able to win against TSM and claim the top spot in the LoL regular season.
