The announcement explained that cvMax’s contract “has ended with mutual agreement.” Team Griffin’s official statement did not detail the reason for the coach’s sudden departure, but a clip from popular Korean LoL streamer이상호(BJ)shed more light on the situation.

The clip reveaeled that cvMax was dismissed from the organization, according to a translation byReddit user ahm3538. After Team Griffin only placed second in this year’s Spring playoffs and Summer playoffs, cvMax got into a fight with an unnamed organization representative over the “poor performance,” resulting in his getting fired.
