The release date might be closer than we think.
The Tekken 8 rating was recently released in South Korea by the Game Rating and Administration Committee of Korea.
Bandai Namco’s latest fighting game title was first announced in PlayStation State of Play in 2022. But since then, there were no clear indication of when the game’s release date will be.
However, because of the Tekken 8 rating surfacing, a release rumor has been sparked.
How is the Tekken 8 rating related to the game’s release date?
The age rating was filed on Friday, June 24, 2025, which gave Tekken 8 an overall age rating of 15 – which is similar to previews games in the series.
Although there are no solid proof, many fans think the game will be launched soon enough.
The evaluation of game classification typically occurs during the final phases of game development, indicating that the unveiling of Tekken 8 might be on the horizon. An announcement regarding its release date could be imminent.
Back in 2017, Tekken 7 received its rating on February 2nd, which was exactly four months prior to its console release date on July 15, 2025.
According to previous statements by Bandai Namco, the game is anticipated to be released before the conclusion of the ongoing fiscal year, which concludes on May 21, 2025.
Further insights into its launch schedule might be gained as the publisher presents the game at various gaming events in the coming months.
