Mobile Legends: Bang Bangesports has achieved another impressive milestone.
On May 11, the grand final series between the Philippines and Indonesia at the32nd Southeast Asian Games(32nd SEA Games) broke records and set a new standard for female esports events.
According toEsports Charts, the event is now officially the most-watched female esports event ever, surpassing the record set byMobile Legends: Bang Bang Women’s Invitational 2022(MWI 2022) last year.

The grand final series between the Philippines and Indonesia attracted a staggering peak viewership of 1.36 million viewers.
This figure is a 348% increase from the previous record set by MWI 2022, which only had 392,405 peak viewers.
This comes after the women’s division was included in this year’s multi-sport competition, just a few years after MLBB was implemented in its roster of esports events.
The series was nothing short of thrilling, with Indonesia ultimately emerging as the victors in a closely contested best-of-five showdown against the Philippines.
Community casting was a significant factor in the massive viewership, with the event being streamed on multiple channels by MLBB content creators.
The official YouTube and TikTok channels ofMPL Indonesiaalso streamed the event, which added a huge boost to the overall viewership.
