The Tekken World Tour will be delayed until June
Bandai Namco has removed nine stops from TWT2020.
In an effort to protect the Tekken community from COVID-19, Bandai Namco has put the Tekken World Tour on hold until the last week of June.
In their latestannouncement, Tekken 7 has been removed from the following nine events:
While Tekken 7 has been removed from the listed events, the respective tournaments are still subject to their organizers’ decisions on whether or not to proceed as scheduled.
This development adds to Bandai Namco’s recent rescheduling efforts in light of the current global health crisis. The company already postponed theNorCal Regionals, The Mix-Up, and theTokyo Tekken Mastersearly last Month.
The next stop on the TWT calendar is CEO Gaming 2020, which is scheduled for June 26-28 in Orlando, Florida, barring any further adjustments due to the fluid COVID-19 situation.
