These are the 6 invited teams that will compete at Dota Summit 12
The field is split evenly between teams that have qualified for the Los Angeles Major and those that did not.
Evil Geniuses, Fnatic, OG.Seed, Team Liquid, Thunder Predator, and Cloud9 will be the six teams vying for the lion’s share of a US$150,000 prize pool on March 10-13 at Dota Summit 12.
EG, Fnatic, and Thunder Predator are notably among the teams qualified for the ESL One Los Angeles Major, which is set to begin shortly after Dota Summit 12 on March 15.
Meanwhile, OG.Seed, Liquid, and C9 did not qualify for the Major.

OG.Seed came out of the Major’s European open qualifiers alongside the main OG squad but couldn’t advance through the closed qualifiers.
Liquid was directly seeded to the European closed qualifiers but couldn’t qualify for either the Los Angeles Major or the StarLadder ImbaTV Kyiv Minor 2020.
C9 didn’t make it out of the Southeast Asian open qualifiers with their initial roster, which prompteda roster shakeup that saw the arrivals of Jacky “EternaLEnVy” Mao, Jingjun “Sneyking” Wu, and Marcus “Ace” Hoelgaard.
Dota Summit 12 will have a round-robin format for its Group Stage, where four of the participating teams will advance while the bottom two will be eliminated.
The playoffs will be a double-elimination bracket with all matches being a best-of-three except for the finals, which will be a best-of-five series.
