Tino is the final piece for BOOM Esports’ Dota 2 roster
Will Tino be the key to getting BOOM Esports to a Major?
After months of rebuilding, BOOM Esports has finalized its Dota 2 roster with the addition of Justine Ryan Evangelista “Tino” Grimaldo as the team carry.
BOOM Esports recently won theBTS Pro Series Season 9: SEAplayoffs with a flawless 7-0 upper bracket run, beating Polaris Esports in the grand final.
Tino will be the team carry while Skem remains the hard support
BOOM Esports has been working on settling their roster since August 27, when multiple members of the team left, leaving only Saieful “Fbz” Ilham on the team.
After acquiring Erin Jasper “Yopaj” Ferrer, Rolen Andrei Gabriel “skem” Ong, and Timothy John “Tims” Randrup, BOOM Esports needed one more piece to bring the team together.
Dota 2 fans have been speculating what position the last player of BOOM Esports would play, due to the presence of skem on the team, who could play either as carry or hard support.
The addition of Tino confirms that skem will resume as the team’s hard support, a role he took on during the last DPC season. Skem’s most played support heroes this patch are Io, Enchantress, and Bane.
Tino last played for Omega Esports during the previous DPC season. While Omega Esports struggled in most tournaments, Tino was a standout and his performance earned him a spot with BOOM Esports.
BOOM Esports Dota 2 roster for the upcoming 2022 DPC season
BOOM Esports will be competing in the Southeast Asia DPC division II. They will need to secure top two in the league in order to have a chance to qualify for the second Dota 2 Major.
